Communications Specialist

The Communications Specialist assists in creating strong content, coordinates refinement and execution of the communications strategy, and works to maximize the Center’s profile and impact by raising our voice to targeted stakeholder audiences in pursuit of our mission. The Communications Specialist will be a strong writer and have an understanding of communications trends, best practices, and technologies and how to utilize them to meet organizational goals. S/he will work with senior staff to develop original content and implement a strategy to ensure the Center is communicating its mission externally. S/he will assist with strategic messaging to reach and engage diverse audiences across various platforms. We are looking for someone who has the experience and skills to produce substantive content related to our mission, but also understands the fundamentals of communications in a non-profit, mission driven organization.
